About moi

Hi guys and gals

Frenchie blogger here and well, this is my blog! Here's a little bit more about me...

How would you describe yourself?

As can be seen on the sidebar description, I'm a girl with an understanding of a few different cultures, and with an appetite to learn about more.  I have naturally wild hair, and Olive Skin. I'm a pretty down to earth girl, who loves science and sci-fi but aslo designers and chic-flicks, who loves being outdoors but also cosy by the fire, formula one racing and Fashion Week. I'd like to consider myself a social activist against Gender stereotyping, labelling, bullying, and the social norms of media surrounding weight and mental health.

Is Frenchie your real name?

My real name is Ashley, but if some of you are wondering about my pseudo, my nickname given to me by many is Frenchie. I lived in the French countryside during my childhood and therefore speak fluent French as well as English. I also adore the French culture, lifestyle, cuisine and of course ... fashion. The nickname has always stuck and I use it on my different forms of social media due to preference.

Why are you starting a Blog?

I've been inspired and told by many friends and strangers alike, to start this Blog to share my thoughts, ideas, fashion and style tips, advice, and beauty regimes with you all. I hope that my Blog can be somewhere where I can express my creative flair and also inspire, help or advise others. I also want my Blog to be a place where I can express my opinion on particular social views, norms and events.

How would you describe your style?

I'm not restricted to just one style and like to dip into different clique fashions from time to time, to have an original wardrobe I can call my own. For all the students out there do not worry, I've just come out of uni and am paying off the over draft, so therefore 'affordable fashion' is a statement I fully understand! I take a lot of wardrobe Inspiration form catwalk shows and street style, and aim to create a Street Style Spot, and look book diaries on this Blog.

Are you a Make-up Junkie?

I used to be a Make-up Junkie, not only day to day but also costume make-up too. However after an eczema breakout I've found many products irritate my skin and therefore will usually only recommend the products I can use, but I'm always looking out for the next product I can add to my collection. Most if not all products I use will be based for Olive skin but I will try to delve into options for fairer and darker skin tones.

What's your piece best advice?

Never take yourself or life too seriously. Always remember to laugh and smile, its the best medicine, and there's nothing more beautiful than happiness. Everyone is important and just because you're not good at one thing doesn't mean you will be rubbish at everything.

My blog consists of a little bit of everything and I do hope you enjoy

Thanks for reading and feel free to explore more
